The room was great, big and clean. The maid service was not great, though our bed did not get laid for the 3 days, we were there. The fold-out couch bed was horrible, super thin and the mattress is from 2020 trust me, it looks and feels like it. You better find parking fast because they run out and you have to park on the street and still pay $12 parking a day 🤦🏽‍♂️

Hyatt House Going Downhill Fast. We stayed here soon after this property opened and we thought we'd give it another try. That was a mistake. The staff gets a star for being courteous - the rest are management level issues all over the place. First, there never used to be an extra overnight 'parking' charge, and considering this place is in a residential neighborhood without any other businesses around, and its not near campus, its absurd this has been added to the bill. Its just a gouge. The room shows signs of wear & tear, and worst of all was nasty mold-mildew taking off the paint in the bathroom. Third, the breakfast was a vast letdown featuring powdered eggs, soggy frozen waffles, and numerous breakfast machine 'out of order' signs. If you want processed food & carbs you're in luck. Breakfast granola, fruit parfait, whole grain bagel...no such luck. For just about $200 a night there are better options in the Davis business district.

Room was substandard for a Hyatt. Microwave and coffee maker didn't work, garbage disposer was stuffed with a toothpaste tube and hair. Carpet felt wet. I also did not appreciate finding random hair under kitchen sink. One good point was that the front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.

The breakfast is always good and they added a pancake maker and yogurt machine. Nice addition, but as always the beds are so comfortable. All in all great room for the price.

Rooms are comfortable and staff responsive. We stay in Davis frequently with our small dog. Thus was a longer stay 8 days and we found out they charge an extra 100 pet fee (175 total) for stays over 7 days. This will move us to the Marriott. Grounds are not well kept, lots of weeds. Pool area is also in need of cleaning/maintenance.
