This place looks cute from the outside and is in a great location. However, there's a sign on the door to text to check in. I texted twice and called once (went to a generic voicemail) and nobody ever responded. There were only 3 cars in the parking lot, so I highly doubt they were full. I ended up staying at a nice place across the street.

This is a quaint motel that is very dog friendly and super close to the beach. They have a grass area and an enclosed area for your pets to do their business. There was no staff and we had to text in order to check in and get the key. I struggled with the heater. I kept the window open with the heater at 70°, but the temperature would go from too hot to a cool breeze then back to hot. The pillows were very uncomfortable. The room had a coffee maker, refrigerator, and T.V. (Prime streaming service was available). There was a blow dryer available in the bathroom. I don't feel that there were enough towels and if we had run out I don't know how we would have gotten more. We enjoyed the cement table outside of our room. Overall for the price and how close it is to the beach and being so dog friendly I would recommend staying if you are bringing your pets.

This place was great! So quiet at night you can hear the waves. Walking distance to great places to eat and shop. Management is friendly and knowledgeable about local stuff to do. We brought our dog and it was perfect. They have a little fenced dog area for them and the motel is located literally steps from a dog beach. I also love that there is no TV or phone in the room. Truly an escape!

Nice little Motel. Clean rooms, good parking and a great location. Check in and check out are done remotely or at least when I was there on Friday night. I only saw the maid but she was very sweet.

Deutsch/English|Deutsch:|Nach schlechten Erfahrungen mit einem Motel in Merced waren wir sehr positiv überrascht über dieses Motel. |Zuerst einmal ein sehr sauberer und gepflegter Parkplatz, die Rezeption einladend, trotz später Stunde der Herr in der Rezeption überaus freundlich, zuvorkommend und spendabel (er gab uns noch mehrere große Cookies).|Das Zimmer groß, geräumig und sauber mit 3 Fenstern, die das Zimmer am nächsten Morgen wunderbar erhellten. Die Betten sehr liebevoll gestaltet, Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine, Bügeleisen-/Brett und Microwelle vorhanden und sauber.|Zwei Waschbecken waren vorhanden, was für eine Familie sehr angenehm ist. Dusche/Badewanne und Toilette waren ebenfalls sauber.|Alles in allem können wir dieses Motel ohne Einschränkungen weiterempfehlen und würden es, bei einer neuen Tour wieder buchen.||English: |After bad experiences with a motel in Merced, we were very positively surprised about this motel.|First of all, a very clean and well -kept parking lot, the reception inviting, despite the late hour the gentleman in the reception extremely friendly and courteous and accommodating, he gave us several large cookies.|The room tall, spacious and clean with 3 windows that eliminated the room the next morning. There are new owners as of august. Ryan, one of the owners seems nice and was helpful. The rooms are very small and don’t have tvs or microwaves. The previous owners use to include a dog bowl filled with toys. That was a nice touch. There isn’t a breakfast. ||It is nice to be a block from the beach and the rooms seem to have cute decor and bright colored blue paint. If you pay a little extra, you’ll most likely have much better accommodations.

The check in process was sketchy. It consisted of a # to text, or “try to find housekeeping”. After check in, immediately found the deadbolt would not lock. The main window to the room was completely unsecured. It had no lock and no secondary form of a lock. Anyone from the outside could slide the window open and crawl in. The person onsite had zero solutions. She suggested I “try to talk to the owner tomorrow”. I had to drive to the next town to buy windows locks locks from the hardware store. I cannot recommend.
